​NID-HCA was established as a conduit to empower local communities nationwide with the understanding of the rights and obligations in all matters effecting housing.  The foremost creation of NID-HCA was to provide financial literacy and economic empowerment to inner city communities.  NID-HCA has been a HUD approved housing counseling agency since 1995.  Since 1995 NID-HCA has expanded to over 13 states and has counseled over 15,000 persons/entities nationwide.  NID-HCA is an independent 501(c) 3 organization under the IRS code.  NID-HCA is headquarter in Oakland, CA with a substantial presence through five local offices in in the State of Ohio.
 

The comprehensive NID-Housing Counseling Agency (NID-HCA), program is designed to offer the myriad of housing related issues to our clients nationwide. We offer counseling to consumers, as well as non-profits, public agencies and faith-based organizations in each of the following areas: Pre-purchase, Budget/Credit, Pre-rental, Homeowner, Default/Foreclosure, Home Equity Conversion/Reverse Mortgages, Community Development Programs, Housing Rehabilitation, Refinance, Financial Literacy, Discrimination, Predatory Lending and Fair Housing. The function of the agency is to provide housing related counseling to all persons/entities with housing needs. The agency is staffed by a network of fully trained, HUD certified, housing counselors/real estate professionals with extensive knowledge of the real estate industry.
